Reinson tapped as First Mining Gold COO

Canadian producer First Mining Gold has selected industry veteran Jeff Reinson as its incoming chief operating officer effective March 28.

Reinson, with more than 25 years of experience in project development and engineering leadership, was most recently interim general manager of Greece operations for Eldorado Gold. Prior to that, he served as vice president of project development for Bluestone Resources and Goldcorp, where he was project director of the Peñasquito mine in Mexico.

He has held other project roles with AngloGold Ashanti, Newmont and Rio Tinto.

“In particular, Jeff’s expertise in project development and water and tailings management will be especially important as we enter the feasibility stage at Springpole this year,” CEO Dan Wilton said.

“We look forward to Jeff playing a critical role in the development of Springpole and our other portfolio projects.”

First Mining also owns the Cameron, Duparquet, Duquesne and Pitt gold projects, all advanced-stage gold projects in Ontario and Québec. Its portfolio of gold project interests also includes the Pickle Crow gold project with Auteco Minerals; the Hope Brook gold project with Big Ridge Gold; an equity interest in Treasury Metals; and a portfolio of 21 gold royalties.
