Rocprop is an ideal secondary roof support for coal, hard rock and soft rock mining environments.
The compact, all-steel roof support prop offers active pre-loading and stable yield, providing predictable performance in both static and dynamic load conditions.
Under static load conditions, it sustains constant load-bearing characteristics, and its steel construction makes it suitable for long-term use. In dynamic conditions or during blasting, it maintains the integrity of the hanging roof during closure.
Active support is achieved using hydraulic pre-loading. At installation, water is pumped into the Rocprop, hydraulically telescoping the inner tube until it makes contact with the roof. Once at full height, the prop is set using a setting tool and the water is drained out to prevent any risk of freezing.
