Artemis Gold restarts milling operations at Blackwater

Artemis Gold has resumed full milling operations at the Blackwater mine in central British Columbia, Canada, following an unplanned shutdown on March 11 due to a gearbox failure on the ball mill.

The miner said the gearbox was replaced within seven days, compared to a previous estimate of eight to 10 days.

Due to the shutdown, first-quarter production will be lower than originally anticipated. However, Artemis Gold is maintaining its full-year production guidance of 265,000 to 290,000 ounces of gold with plans to offset the Q1 production shortfall caused by this unplanned event.

The first gold and silver pour at Blackwater was achieved at the beginning of last year, with commercial production declared on May 1, 2025.
