Dyno Nobel has introduced the newest addition to its electronic initiation offering, the Navus handheld blaster.
Navus is a lightweight, portable unit that allows operations to safely and reliably initiate blasts. Weighing just 600 grams, or 1.3 pounds, Navus can be carried anywhere on-site and supports up to 2,500 meters (1.6 miles) of harness wire for extended set-ups in surface and underground applications.
Navus is an ideal solution to initiate NONEL rounds when used with Dyno Nobel’s electronic DriftShot Starters underground. DriftShot Starters eliminate stray currents, radio frequency interference, and static discharge. Together, Navus and DriftShot provide greater safety, efficiency, and control to empower operations to achieve superior blasting outcomes.
For operations that are switching from NONEL detonators to electronic detonators, Navus facilitates a smooth transition with a design engineered for simplicity in the field. Navus can improve fragmentation and vibration while lowering downstream costs through the combination of timing accuracy and precision of electronic detonators, so even small blasts net big results.
