Immersive Technologies offers MineAdvantage courses

Immersive Technologies has introduced professional development courses tailored for the mining industry, aimed at empowering professionals at all levels of the workforce, including trainers, front-line supervisors, and managers.

Under the banner of MineAdvantage, the company has begun delivering a series of face-to-face courses in regional mining locations. These courses equip professionals with the tools, insights, and confidence they need to excel in their careers and to help their organizations achieve operational excellence.

“MineAdvantage is more than a training course; it’s a strategic investment in workforce capability. By equipping professionals with the skills to adapt and lead in a rapidly evolving mining landscape, operations can achieve sustainable performance improvements,” said Immersive Technologies.

Courses are designed with interactive learning, hands-on activities, and real-world scenarios. Participants leave with actionable strategies that have been shown to reduce operator variability, improve safety outcomes, and accelerate technology adoption.

TerraRoc has announced significant advancements in its drilling technology behind the new 115-millimeter X-Roc DTH drill bit: improved heat treatment process delivers significantly increased material toughness, while the optimized button configuration ensures superior drilling performance.

The new center hole design provides exceptional functionality, complemented by an improved skirt outer diameter for better flush control. Advanced wear-resistant treatment applied both internally and externally ensures longevity that speaks for itself.

X-Roc combines advanced engineering with carefully selected materials to deliver exceptional reliability without compromising on environmental responsibility. TerraRoc said each drill bit is 100% designed, machined, and assembled in Finland. Manufactured from steel with an average recycled content of 97%, X-Roc sets a new benchmark for sustainable performance.

Epiroc has launched the new Minetruck MT22 designed for mining operations with small drift sizes, delivering increased effectiveness, reduced exhaust emissions, lower fuel consumption, and extended service intervals.

“We are proud to introduce the Minetruck MT22, which succeeds Epiroc’s smallest underground truck, the Minetruck MT2200. While retaining the same exterior design, it introduces several key upgrades, most notably the Stage V engine option and European Conformity certification,” commented Prerna Devkar, global product manager, Minetruck Small Segment.

“In addition to the [Cummins QSL9 Stage V] engine, the new Minetruck MT22 offers other engine variants, including China IV and Tier III, giving customers the flexibility to choose based on their specific needs and preferences.”

Beyond the engine upgrade, the Minetruck MT22 incorporates several improvements over its predecessor, such as an integrated load weighing system and an optional 3-point seatbelt –both aimed at boosting productivity and enhancing safety in mining operations.

It also features an advanced after-treatment system that significantly reduces harmful emissions. This improves underground air quality without compromising performance, making it ideal for demanding duty cycles.
