Canadian miner Artemis Gold has completed its first pour of gold and silver at its Blackwater open-pit mine in central British Columbia.
“While still in commissioning, Blackwater’s crushing circuit has displayed sustained crushing operations above its prescribed nameplate throughput. The milling circuit is also performing in line with expectations at this stage of the commissioning and ramp-up phase,” said Jeremy Langford, president and chief operating officer of Artemis Gold.
Commercial production remains targeted for the second quarter of 2025.
Blackwater, located 160 kilometers southwest of Prince George, has an expected mine life of 22 years.
