Mining at bauma 2025
In 2025, bauma Mining will once again be the hub of the international mining industry. Exhibitors will show the latest innovations and provide insight into the current trends and topics of the mining sector.
Key topic: Mining challenge – security of supply of commodities, automation, ESG
The supply of raw materials must be secured through political support in third countries and a new approach to domestic raw material extraction. In order to ensure that surface and underground mining can be carried out in an environmentally compatible manner, thought must be given to the end right from the start. Redesigning and renaturing landscapes is part of every project planning. Automated and, where possible, autonomous processes ensure greater efficiency and safety. ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, Governance) help companies to secure the supply of raw materials while at the same time taking ethical principles into account.
Key topic: Sustainable Construction
Construction consumes significant amounts of resources and is one of the largest producers of greenhouse gases. For that reason alone, social development aimed at sustainability is inconceivable without the essential contributions of the construction industry. The world-leading trade fair bauma will present the diverse approaches in the construction machinery world for sustainable construction. Here are a number of highlights.
Serial construction uses resources more efficiently than conventional construction methods, since prefabrication takes place in a controlled industrial environment. Material waste can thus be reduced, and quantities calculated more accurately. Production waste and scrap materials generated at the factory can be better recycled. It is also easier to dismantle the buildings at the end of their useful life and to reuse their materials.
Recycled materials can be used for 3D printing of buildings for more sustainability in the construction machinery industry. Research is also being carried out on biobased materials for additive manufacturing.
