Elko Mining Expo 2024 tops 2,000 visitors

The Elko Convention and Visitors Authority (ECVA) reported that its 38th annual Elko Mining Expo in Nevada, held in June, was a success, with more than 2,000 visiting the show’s 384 companies.

In addition to a great show turnout, the expo included a concert and golf tournament, as well as a panel session discussing future projects from Orla Mining, i80 Gold Corp., ioneer, Nevada Gold Mines and SSR Mining Marigold mine, moderated by Nevada Mining Association president Amanda Hilton.

“We were excited to continue the annual panel discussion while adding in technical sessions for the first time,” Convention and Event Manager Kimberlee Longley said, noting that its first tear with technical sessions was insightful and well attended.

Another special highlight: Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony speaking and meeting with exhibitors, the successful panel session as well as our first year featuring technical sessions.

“The event continues to grow and allows for networking and learning both from industry professionals and the local community,” Longley added.

The ECVA is already looking at its plans for the 2025 show, hoping first to bring back a roundtable discussion as it was so successful this year.

As it develops plans, the dates have been set: June 2-6, with the exhibit days selected as June 5-6. Registrations for the annual golf tournament, as well as the event’s opening reception, will open next April. The ECVA said golf registration will open for registered exhibitors first with non-exhibitors being given the opportunity to register the following day should space remain.

Legacy exhibitor registration for the show itself will begin in early February 2025 with new exhibitor registration taking place end of March 2025. Those wishing to be added to the exhibitor waitlist need to email [email protected].

“[As] preparations for the 2025 Elko Mining Expo are underway, and we look forward to adding additional learning and networking opportunities for participants,” Longley said. “It takes place in a unique area with several mine operators located in the area with Nevada ranking first for gold production in the United States. These factors help with the continued success of the event and we look forward to many more years of the Elko Mining Expo.”
