Seabee to restart operations in October

SSR Mining said that its Seabee gold operations in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, will restart in the second half of October after forest fires caused an evacuation of the site on August 21.

“We would like to extend our gratitude to our team that assisted on site following the evacuation, as well as the [Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency] teams that helped protect the infrastructure at Seabee,” said the miner, noting that remote and exploration equipment were damaged by the fires.

SSR Mining said Seabee’s production and cost guidance will be updated in its third quarter financial results.
