WIM National Conference marks record attendance

The annual national meeting of Women in Mining USA met April 12-15 in Tucson, Ariz., at the Tucson Convention Center and recorded a record turnout — more than 400 women in mining and supporters of WIM were on hand to share ideas, hear technical presentations and network during a dinner ceremony, roundtable discussions and panel talks. Multiple operational tours were conducted, including one to Freeport McMoRan’s Sierrita copper pit about 30 minutes south of the city. The date and location of the next national conference were not available at press time.
