Brenntag to distribute CarboNet water treatment line

Brenntag announced it is now a distributor in the U.S. and Canada for CarboNet Nanotechnologies’ water treatment products.

Brian Liotta, director, Water Treatment, Brenntag Americas, said the CarboNet products include the NanoNet Fe anionic coagulants/flocculant enhancers and NanoNet Fe-P anionic flocculants; they can be tuned to address specific targets within wastewater as heavy metals and emulsified oils.

The benefits of the NanoNet platform, he added, include greater throughput, lower disposal costs and labor reduction.

“Water scarcity is increasingly becoming a boardroom issue for the majority of publicly-traded companies in North America,” CarboNet CCO Amielle Lake said.

“CarboNet’s proprietary NanoNet platform allows us to deploy safe chemical solutions to facilitate the transition to recycled water and therefore, lessening the demand on water sources.”

Pennsylvania-based Brenntag is part of German firm Brenntag SE, which has two global divisions: Brenntag Essentials and Brenntag Specialties.
