Aura Minerals’ Gold Road operation in Arizona confirmed on Sept. 17 that it shipped its first lot of gold production since being acquired by the producer in March.
The shipment totaled 582 ounces of gold equivalent, making up about one week of production.
The mining operator said its production performance to date is in line with expectations; Aura expects Gold Road to declare commercial production in the fourth quarter of 2020.
Mid-tier gold and copper miner Aura also owns the San Andres gold mine in Honduras, the Ernesto/Pau-a-Pique gold mine in Brazil and the Aranzazu copper-gold-silver mine in Mexico.
