Superior Industries introduces self-contained TeleStacker

Minnesota handling systems group Superior Industries is offering customers more applications for its TeleStacker conveyor models by offering a new self-contained option.

The standard new set of radial, telescoping TeleStackers, which have onboard power, are equipped with a 96kW Cat 4.4 Tier 4 Final engine.

Superior officials said the release is most ideal for remote quarrying and mining sites, as permanent electrical access is not always feasible.

Self-contained TeleStacker conveyors are designed in 36-in. (914-mm) belt widths and fully extended operating lengths of 110-, 130- and 150-ft. (34-, 40- and 46-m).

“[Our] engineering team will collaborate with bulk handlers requiring custom widths and lengths,” the company said.

Other features that come standard include XTP swing axles, hydraulic drives for the main and stinger conveyors, Superior brand idlers and pulleys, plus an onboard counterweight.

The first TeleStacker conveyor was made available commercially in 1997.
