Elko Mining Expo marking 40 years

Show returning to its longtime home, the Elko Convention and Conference Center, from June 4-5

The ruby anniversary of the Elko Mining Expo is just weeks away, once again bringing together the mining industry for a week of activities, networking and, of course, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees for its annual mining show.

Events and Sales Manager Kimberlee Longley said that the show is a perennial success for the organization, and this year was no different – the annual golf tournament sold out within minutes of opening, and the opening reception, sponsored by Liebherr, sold out within days of tickets being available. At press time, booth reservations had also closed.

New for 2026, exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to sit in on the first-ever Elko Mining Expo podcast, hosted by Mining Minds. Community members, exhibitors and attendees are invited to enjoy Miners Poetry: Voices from the Face, a poetry contest focused on mining and open to students from K-12, miners, and spouses/family members of miners.

“The 2026 Elko Mining Expo is gearing up to be one of the largest years yet, with over 395 registered exhibitors as well as food vendors gathering for the two-day event,” Longley said.

Exhibits will be open Thursday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Friday, June 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with technical sessions held both days. Industry professional day is Thursday, June 4, while the community is encouraged to visit on Friday, June 5.

Other activities are planned throughout the week, including the Nevada Mining Association’s annual member shotgun tournament on Wednesday, June 3, and the Country Under the Stars concert benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elko. More information on these activities can be found at www.NevadaMining.org and www.CountryUnderTheStarsElko.com, respectively.

Industry professionals are strongly encouraged to register by email at [email protected].
