Metso held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new service center in Prince George, British Columbia, on June 4. Situated in the heart of a key Canadian mining region, the center is expected to be fully operational by early 2026.
“The investment decision, announced in September 2024, was very well received by our customers. Metso’s strengthened local presence will enable faster repairs, shorter turnaround times, and increased sustainability by reducing transportation distances. We’re grateful for our customers’ trust, and we remain committed to becoming the preferred service provider in the industry,” said Justin Ayotte, vice president, Canada Sales and Service at Metso.

The center will service a wide range of mining equipment from pit to port, including crushing, grinding, screening, filtration, flotation, slurry handling, thickening, clarifying, loading and hauling solutions, chute lining, and more. It will also offer warehousing capabilities for spare and wear parts.
Alongside the new facility in Prince George, Metso is also expanding the service center in Mesa, Ariz., and opening a new training center.
