The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute will hold its annual meeting and conference, June 27-29, at the Steamboat Grand in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
This year’s conference has a strong line-up of speakers, including National Mining Association VP of Government and Political Affairs Ryan Jackson Sr., former U.S. EPA Chief of Staff Andy Gunasekara, Caterpillar MineStar Solutions Chief Engineer Michael Murphy, and West Elk Mine Manager Weston Norris, among several others.
Additionally, the group said it will present the 30th Annual Mine Rescue Safety Training and Evaluation during the 117th conference and annual meeting. It will include about 80 participants trained in simulated scenarios to take back important safety information to their respective operations.
