The Training Resources Applied to Mining (TRAM) annual conference is preparing to convene from November 12-15 at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in southern West Virginia.
The event is curated to include workshops on mine safety trainer-focused topics, presentations from respected safety trainers and networking opportunities, along with a change to learn new ideas and improve training skills. It is tuition-free.
The Academy is located at 1301 Airport Road in Beaver.
“The presentation topics for 2024 will cover everything from best practices for better content delivery to innovative training design techniques,” MSHA said.
“Training in today’s mining industry is considered a foundational element in the mission to improve mine safety. Through the years, the training materials competition has fostered a new level of professionalism in the development of training materials. TRAM’s exhibit area will feature some of the latest training materials developed by MSHA, state grant recipients and the mining industry. Attendees will also find exhibits that will showcase innovative health and safety products.”
