Canadian-based Aurcana Silver has initiated commissioning of the processing plant at its Revenue Virginius mine in Ouray, Colo., and recorded first ore through the mill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The development ore began making its way through the plant on Aug. 27, noting that it will be ramping up over the month of September to 270 tons per day as it heads toward a restart of full operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next step, it added, will be stope ore \u201cin the near future\u201d as the mine is targeting the first half of next month for concentrate shipments to Trafigura Trading, which is the off-taker for 100% of the concentrates.   <\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cMining productivity at the face has been strong and we have some of the best miners in the business working for us,\u201d Aurcana\u2019s Kevin Drover said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile some logistics issues related to movement of ore and waste in the same underground area slowed our initial development in opening up the production stopes, these short term delays are resolvable as the stope is opened to its full length.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RV has more than 522,000 t of proven and probable reserves containing over 14.2 million ounces of silver, 33,000 oz. of gold, 57 million pounds of lead and 24.7 million lb. of zinc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aurcana also owns the Shafter-Presidio silver project in Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
