Alabama-based Motion Industries<\/a> has announced it has increased its footprint in Canada with its agreement to purchase hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder manufacturer and repair group Stoney Creek Hydraulics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal was expected to close by October 31, the company confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are excited to begin a new chapter as part of the Motion team,\u201d SCH owner Patric Gauthier said. \u201cIt is a great fit \u2013 both companies are customer-focused and share the same high values and service standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Motion President James Howe added: \u201cAs we continue to execute our acquisition strategy to grow our services, we are pleased to welcome Stoney Creek Hydraulics employees. Their skills and capabilities will bolster our hydraulic offering in Canada and complement our mechanical repair services in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
