Following an open dialogue and shared focus on the safety and well-being of the workforce, Newmont Pe\u00f1asquito and the National Union of Mining, Metallurgical, Steel, and Similar Workers of Mexico have agreed on a new collective bargaining agreement for 2024-2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a company, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance as we work together with the union to navigate any future challenges, always prioritizing individual safety and fostering a culture of collaboration,\u201d said Newmont.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The agreement safeguards the rights of all workers and provides a solid foundation for continuing operations that secures a sustainable future for the Pe\u00f1asquito open-pit mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pe\u00f1asquito, located about 780 kilometers northwest of Mexico City, produces gold, silver, lead and zinc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
