The Elko Convention and Visitors Authority (ECVA) reported that its 38th annual Elko Mining Expo in Nevada, held in June, was a success, with more than 2,000 visiting the show\u2019s 384 companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to a great show turnout, the expo included a concert and golf tournament, as well as a panel session discussing future projects from Orla Mining, i80 Gold Corp., ioneer, Nevada Gold Mines and SSR Mining Marigold mine, moderated by Nevada Mining Association president Amanda Hilton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n\u201cWe were excited to continue the annual panel discussion while adding in technical sessions for the first time,\u201d Convention and Event Manager Kimberlee Longley said, noting that its first tear with technical sessions was insightful and well attended.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Another special highlight: Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony speaking and meeting with exhibitors, the successful panel session as well as our first year featuring technical sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe event continues to grow and allows for networking and learning both from industry professionals and the local community,\u201d Longley added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ECVA is already looking at its plans for the 2025 show, hoping first to bring back a roundtable discussion as it was so successful this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As it develops plans, the dates have been set: June 2-6, with the exhibit days selected as June 5-6. Registrations for the annual golf tournament, as well as the event\u2019s opening reception, will open next April. The ECVA said golf registration will open for registered exhibitors first with non-exhibitors being given the opportunity to register the following day should space remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Legacy exhibitor registration for the show itself will begin in early February 2025 with new exhibitor registration taking place end of March 2025. Those wishing to be added to the exhibitor waitlist need to email MineExpo@Elkocva.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
