Energy Exploration Projects, known to many as EnergyX, has confirmed its plans to build a lithium plant in the area where the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complex, known as Project Lonestar Lithium, is the second major announcement for the Texas-based group. Its first, Project Black Giant in Chile, was established in 2023 when EnergyX acquired 90,000 acres of concessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said the impetus for the new project is to help solidify it as a leader in the global energy transition and affirm its role in securing the nation\u2019s battery supply chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Project Lonestar Lithium has a lithium production goal of 5,000 tons per year in Phase 1, and 25,000 t\/y in Phase 2. Currently, the largest active lithium plant in the US produces 5,000 t\/y, underscoring the vast potential of Project Lonestar to ramp up U.S. lithium production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
EnergyX has already partnered with engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner Kiewet to undertake the initial front end engineering plans for Project Lonestar. It will also help enhance the scalability and efficiency of the company\u2019s suite of LiTAS DLE lithium technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
