Arizona Lithium officially opened the Lithium Research Centre in Tempe, Ariz., on May 31 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by federal and state government officials as well as economic development officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility, which is backed by the Arizona Commerce Authority, is focused on technological advancements in lithium processing. It will also function as a test facility focused on the extraction of lithium from both Arizona Lithium\u2019s major projects \u2013 Prairie in Saskatchewan and Big Sandy in Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cArizona Lithium marks yet another international company investing in Arizona, showcasing the state\u2019s global attractiveness,\u201d said Arizona Commerce Authority President and CEO Sandra Watson. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Tempe facility strengthens Arizona\u2019s mining and materials industry and highlights our leadership in clean energy technologies, such as batteries.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lithium Research Centre property spans over 9,700 square meters, and features a research laboratory and processing facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
