{"id":6942,"date":"2024-03-21T14:15:44","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T14:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/?p=6942"},"modified":"2024-03-21T14:15:47","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T14:15:47","slug":"elphinstones-new-e15-msv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/index.php\/2024\/03\/21\/elphinstones-new-e15-msv\/","title":{"rendered":"Elphinstone\u2019s new E15 MSV"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elphinstone has introduced the new E15 model to its underground hard rock support vehicle range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The low-profile E15 is a welcome addition to the existing range of E10 (formerly WR810) support vehicles, both base platforms sharing a high level of interchangeability of parts and components.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The significance of the model number is the letter \u2018E\u2019 represents Elphinstone, and the numeral \u201915\u2019 indicates the nominal capacity in metric tonnes, depending on the configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6943\" src=\"https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/P-Elphinstone-E15-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"453\" srcset=\"https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/P-Elphinstone-E15-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/P-Elphinstone-E15-768x435.jpg 768w, https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/P-Elphinstone-E15-1536x870.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/P-Elphinstone-E15-2048x1159.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Outstanding ride and handling with excellent maneuverability and turning circle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Front-mounted operator cabin featuring three-person seating, climate-controlled air conditioning, center driving position with a clear 180-degree view, dial controller for retarder and implement control, an air-cooled compartment for lunch box storage, cupholders and phone charging ports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A \u2018common\u2019 engine front frame, including the engine and transmission, is shared with the E10.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional C7.1 Tier 3 or Tier 4 Final engine.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional full-flow DPF can be fitted in place of standard muffler and catalytic converter on Tier 3 models.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standard A-frame front suspension with nitrogen-filled suspension cylinders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A high-capacity electromagnetic retarder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speed control allows the operator to set the maximum speed on grade. The machine automatically holds the speed using the electromagnetic retarder and the transmission and \u2028engine assembly inertia. The operator can accelerate over the maximum set speed when on flat ground. However, when the accelerator pedal is released, the machine will reduce speed back to the maximum speed setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional front and rear hydraulic jacks are available with a \u2018park\u2019 function on the front jacks to enable the operator to exit the cabin safely with the engine operating.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standard air-ride seat for operator and optional for passengers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standard rear frame for multiple applications supported by 16.00R20 tires and heavy-duty axles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first machines to be released include the E15 Agitator 7m3, E15 Delivery (Nominal 14-tonne payload and 8.8tm crane), E15 Flat Deck (Nominal 15-tonne payload), E15 Water Tank (13,000L capacity), and E15 Fuel &amp; Lube (Diesel, Lubricants, Grease, Coolant, DEF, Water &amp; Air). Further models will be released in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leveraging its existing portfolio of underground support vehicles, Elphinstone is developing battery electric vehicles (BEV) in collaboration with its customers and supply chain partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vision is to provide a BEV at the forefront of technology whilst maintaining a reputation for high quality, premium and reliable products, well-positioned and recognized globally in the underground hard-rock mining industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elphinstone has introduced the new E15 model to its underground hard rock support vehicle range.
