Gold miner and copper producer Newmont has announced the appointment of Peter Wexler as chief legal officer. He will join the company\u2019s Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading its legal, compliance and regulatory affairs globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wexler brings more than three decades of international knowledge in legal and risk management. He most recently served as chief legal officer at Schneider Electric, where he managed the company\u2019s legal, risk management and compliance matters, and oversaw numerous complex deals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wexler holds a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and graduated with a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Vermont. He will be based at Newmont\u2019s headquarters in Denver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
