As the North American industry nears the end of its peak mine rescue competition season, there is one more sizable contest to be held: the Fallen Heroes Mine Rescue Contest, set for next week in southern West Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The third annual event is set for September 11-15 in Logan, with some elements of the competition being held at the nearby Running Right Academy in Julian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The competition includes first aid, mine rescue, IG7A, bench and first aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organizers told Miners News this week that there are 24 teams registered thus far to compete. Some of those include Affinity, Alpha Met Resources, ACNR, Arch Resources, CONSOL Energy, Coronado Coal, and Alliance Natural Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
