Capstone Copper said an employee was fatally wounded in a security incident near its Cozamin mine in Zacatecas, Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The miner said the employee was shot and fatally wounded on the main access road between the city of Zacatecas and Cozamin. The mine site remained secure and operational during the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capstone Copper said it is working with government authorities to ensure safe transportation to and from the mine site. The miner also noted that it maintains the necessary personnel at Cozamin for the site\u2019s security and safe operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cozamin is a copper-silver underground mine with a surface milling facility, located 3.6 kilometers north-northwest of Zacatecas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
