Mitchell Krebs<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n

The National Mining Association (NMA) has elected Coeur Mining\u2019s Mitchell Krebs as the chairman of its board of directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Krebs, who is Coeur\u2019s president and CEO, was appointed this month after already serving on the board in a number of leadership positions including the executive committee, finance committee chair and the founding chair of NMA\u2019s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Task Force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are extremely fortunate to have Mitch as chairman,\u201d said NMA President and CEO Rich Nolan. \u201cHe is a transformational leader who has pushed us all to challenge the status quo and embrace what it means to be a contemporary, innovative industry, and he has worked personally to foster consensus among our member companies on key issues. He is the right leader at the right time \u2013 a time when the need for domestic mining of all types has never been greater.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI feel privileged to take on this role at such an exciting time for our industry,\u201d said Krebs. \u201cI look forward to working alongside my fellow board members and the NMA leadership to advance the issues that impact today\u2019s modern mining industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
