The mining arm of Hexagon has released HxGN MinePlan GeoSlate, a mobile geological drill hole logging application for field data collection, the company announced during SME 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Using a field-ready mobile tablet, users can quickly and easily compile field drill hole data to simplify a geologist\u2019s workflow. The company said the new releases, built for optimal performance, can save time by removing the headache of configuring logging templates from scratch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGeoSlate solves many of the challenges facing geologists who are tasked with geological, exploration, production, sampling, geotechnical, hydrogeological and other field data collection and data management needs,\u201d the company noted, adding that the data compiled can be instantly published over Wi-Fi with Hexagon\u2019s microservice architecture and sync directly to connected MinePlan drillhole databases for geologic analysis and workflow execution.\u00a0<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
As product manager Derek Badner pointed out, customers can securely store and transfer data in a centralized location instead of spending their time exporting\/importing, collating and transmitting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAccess to data should take minutes, but often takes days, even months. Valuable time wasted performing data reformatting and quality assurance is minimized using the app\u2019s automatic data validation in the field. We believe GeoSlate will quickly become essential for any mine\u2019s data collection and management needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
