{"id":2032,"date":"2022-02-18T20:24:12","date_gmt":"2022-02-18T20:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/?p=2032"},"modified":"2022-02-18T20:24:13","modified_gmt":"2022-02-18T20:24:13","slug":"seequent-to-acquire-ar2tech-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northamericanmining.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/18\/seequent-to-acquire-ar2tech-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Seequent to acquire AR2Tech"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Engineering software company Seequent, part of Pennsylvania-based Bentley Systems, acquired Colorado geostatistical software developer Advanced Resources and Risk Technology (AR2Tech) in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acquisition gives Seequent state-of-the-art geostatistics algorithms, technology and IP for complex geospatial problem solving, which the company said will complement its geological modeling solutions and workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cAR2Tech represents a new generation of geostatistics and spatial data analysis solutions for mining, environmental sciences, and energy,\u201d Seequent said of the deal, the financial details of which were not made available.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIts state-of-the-art, high-performance algorithms and workflows for cloud and desktop enable users to create and optimize a diverse set of models, even with millions of cells, without performance bottlenecks \u2026 [and its] algorithm library can be applied to a wide range of geostatistical modeling and data science methods, supporting functions that are data-centric and rely on machine learning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seequent said the newly added solutions can work as standalone offerings, of they can be integrated into other software, including its own Leapfrog 3D geological modeling solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAR2Tech\u2019s technology stack and world-leading expertise in geostatistics, geomodeling and spatial data integration strengthen Seequent\u2019s capabilities in these areas,\u201d Graham Grant, chief executive officer of Seequent, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe acquisition will help accelerate our development of new geostatistics solutions and create seamless end-to-end workflows with Seequent\u2019s advanced modeling solutions.
