Northern Star Resources<\/strong> has appointed Suresh Vadnagra to succeed Stuart Tonkin as managing director and CEO of Northern Star, effective Oct. 5, 2026. Vadnagra is currently head of Glencore\u2019s nickel and zinc industrial assets, with responsibility for a diverse global portfolio of more than 25 operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suresh is an accomplished mining executive with the experience and capabilities to unlock the full potential of our assets and our people \u2013 from ramping up KCGM, progressing Hemi and optimizing all of our assets,\u201d said Michael Chaney AO, chairman of Northern Star.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe board believes his broad operational experience and leadership qualities can deliver significant value for all of our shareholders. Critically, his track record of execution and deep commitment to safety will ensure that we continue the vital work of keeping all of our people safe and helping them achieve their full potential.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, Chief Financial Officer Ryan Gurner will act as deputy CEO, effective<\/p>\n\n\n\n

immediately, working alongside Tonkin until his departure in the first quarter of FY27. Between Tonkin\u2019s departure and Vadnagra\u2019s commencement, Gurner will serve as interim CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
