Komatsu recently celebrated the grand opening of its new office building and Customer Experience Center in Peoria, Ill. The new facility will serve as Komatsu\u2019s Surface Haulage Headquarters and a hub for engineering, innovation, sales, manufacturing management and other functions supporting its global mining business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeoria has long been home to some of the most talented manufacturing and engineering professionals in our industry, and this new facility reflects the important role our team plays in advancing the future of mining,\u201d said Dan Funcannon, senior vice president, Surface Haulage, Komatsu.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom our work in electric-drive haulage to technologies that support low-emission mining, this site represents our commitment to creating value together with our customers, employees and community for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed for operational efficiency and environmental responsibility, the new facility supports Komatsu\u2019s broader sustainability goals while creating a modern, collaborative workplace for employees and visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n

Separately, the OEM announced plans to open a 270,000-square-foot distribution facility in Mesa, Ariz. The center, which will feature automation, storage systems, and operational enhancements, is currently under development and is expected to open by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis investment reflects Komatsu\u2019s long-term commitment to strengthening support for our dealers and customers across the Western U.S.,\u201d said Danny Murtagh, vice president of Parts and Infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith expanded distribution capabilities and greater inventory availability positioned closer to our customers, we can respond faster, improve equipment uptime and deliver a better overall support experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
