Weir<\/strong> has launched next\u2011generation Motion Metrics payload monitoring support for P&H electric mining shovels, bringing precision loading to a significantly larger share of the global mining fleet.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of P&H compatibility delivers high-confidence payload measurement to larger-scale shovel fleets. Motion Metrics integrates ruggedized precision sensors directly onto the shovel, enabling real\u2011time bucket weight measurement, automatic cycle tracking, and intuitive visual and audio cues that help operators consistently hit target payloads with confidence.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By shifting payload intelligence upstream from the truck to the shovel, noted Weir, operators gain real-time, actionable guidance in the cab when it matters most. This replaces estimation and variability with precision, bucket by bucket and shift after shift. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Weir, ShovelMetrics Gen 3 cameras integrate seamlessly into existing Motion Metrics installations, with no additional in\u2011cab screens required. Operators receive intuitive, real\u2011time feedback at the shovel, supervisors access comprehensive cloud\u2011based reporting, and mines gain a scalable platform that delivers long\u2011term value across operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mining companies continue to pursue higher throughput, lower operating costs, and stronger ESG performance, extending shovel\u2011based payload intelligence to more machine types represents a practical and scalable step forward. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
