Artemis Gold reported an unplanned mill shutdown at the Blackwater mine in central British Columbia, Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The miner said it is currently experiencing a production outage at the mine due to the failure of a ball mill gearbox that occurred on March 11. Artemis Gold has a suitable replacement spare gearbox available, but it will take between eight and 10 days to complete repairs and restart the mill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plans are currently underway to make use of this interruption in milling operations to carry out various maintenance activities that were originally planned for the early second quarter of 2026. Mining-related activities are continuing normally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Production in the first quarter is expected to be lower than originally anticipated as a result of the mill outage. Artemis Gold is not currently revising its full-year production guidance of 265,000 to 290,000 ounces of gold as it is evaluating plans to make up for the Q1 production shortfall due to this unplanned event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first gold and silver pour at Blackwater was achieved in January 2025 and commercial production was declared on May 1 of that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
