Perpetua Resources, which is developing the open-pit Stibnite gold project in the Stibnite-Yellow Pine district of central Idaho, has tapped Hatch as its engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) contractor following a highly competitive review process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perpetua officials said the move is significant in the project\u2019s timeline, as EPCM work will allow it to transition from planning to development ahead of a final investment decision expected in the spring of 2026. It also strengthens Perpetua\u2019s readiness to responsibly deliver the project, the developer said.<\/p>\n\n\n

Under the EPCM model, Hatch will be responsible for a comprehensive process plant and site infrastructure engineering and design; procurement management for all major site equipment and systems; construction management across the full process facility scope and other site infrastructure; and integrated project controls, reporting, and performance management standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The selection of Hatch is ideal for Perpetua in that the contractor firm has global expertise in pressure oxidation technology and metallurgical processing facilities. Hatch, on the other hand, is planning to deploy an integrated project team for Stibnite, which has an extensive track record of delivering mining and metallurgical facilities similar in scale and scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stibnite remains the only known domestic reserve of antimony capable of meeting U.S. defense requirements for munitions, according to Perpetua data, and the project\u2019s unique combination of critical mineral production and legacy mine site restoration positions it as a strategic asset for national supply chain resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
