Flexco recently announced the addition of the 900 Series Belt Cutter\/Skiver to its line of heavy-duty belt maintenance tools. By combining the capabilities of the 900 Cutter and the XP Single Blade Skiver, heavy-duty maintenance teams can more easily cut and skive belts for their facilities\u2019 conveyor systems.\u202f\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cGoing into product development, our goal was to create a safer and more efficient solution that belt conveyor maintenance teams could use to cut and skive their belts for mechanical belt fastener installation,\u201d said Flexco Product Manager Kevin Fales.  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t stop there. We also looked at ergonomics to update the clamp knobs and handles, then dialed in the tool for a very accurate skive depth and reach-back. It\u2019s the highest quality belt prep result we\u2019ve achieved, no question about it.\u201d\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideal for belt cutting and skiving of heavy-duty rubber & PVC\/PVG conveyor belts with a thickness up to 1-1\/2 inches (38 mm), the 900 Series Belt Cutter\/Skiver allows operators to safely cut and skive belting all in one convenient platform. After cutting the belt using the Drive Handle, users can simply shift the belt forward into the designated belt stop for the fastener they\u2019re using to seamlessly prepare for fastener installation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The skiver can be driven by the same Drive Handle or a powered drill. When using the 900 Series, sites can expect to achieve a more consistent, quality cut and skive than once thought possible. In turn, the life of the belt, mechanical belt fasteners, and any installed belt cleaning systems can be further extended.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Flexco 900 Series Belt Cutter\/Skiver can be used in heavy-duty applications within industries, including coal, open pit\/hard rock mining, and underground mining.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
