September: the month the weather begins to change for many of us, the buses return to the traffic patterns on our commutes and, in business, when meetings, conferences and other travel needs begin to slow and we shift gears into taking stock of where we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the final quarter of the year about to begin, one would think things are slowing down for North American Mining<\/em> magazine and its digital sister, Miners News Global<\/a>. On the contrary, though. While we are taking stock of our progress this year we are also excited to put together some really great events in the coming several months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first is just eight weeks from this, our press time: the America\u2019s Coal Revolution<\/a> conference. We\u2019re taking on one of coal\u2019s beating hearts, technology, in a crucial area for that progress: Pittsburgh, Pa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope you\u2019ll join us October 20-21 at the Hilton Garden Inn-Southpointe, just south of the Steel City, for what we believe is the first forum-based event of its kind in the U.S. focused specifically on the future uses of coal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re taking on some great discussion topics for this conference. Some of those include new uses for coal (think construction materials, defense materials and more), AI and New Technologies and Current Research; and The Rise of Rare Earths. We are also planning a welcome reception on the evening of October 20. There\u2019s no doubt that there\u2019s a lot of buzz about the conference; check out the upcoming pages of this issue for more on speakers and opportunities that still remain, including booth spots and sponsorships. You truly do not want to miss this crucial and well-timed event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also on our radar here at NAM<\/em>: our upcoming third annual West Virginia Coal Show<\/a>. After two exciting years, we will again return to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on March 31-April 1 in West Viginia\u2019s capital city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With such a fantastic turnout and response to last year\u2019s show, we are certain that this next event will beat its previous records. If you haven\u2019t gotten your booth spots, now is the time! It also gives us a proper opportunity to promote your attendance in across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, we welcomed more than 2,200 registered attendees through our doors and filled two halls with more than 200 exhibitors.
