MP Materials has entered a definitive, long-term agreement to supply Apple with rare earth magnets manufactured in the United States entirely from recycled materials, supporting American manufacturing and circular supply chains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are proud to partner with Apple to launch MP\u2019s recycling platform and scale up our magnetics business,\u201d said James Litinsky, founder, chairman and CEO of MP Materials. \u201cThis collaboration deepens our vertical integration, strengthens supply chain resilience, and reinforces America\u2019s industrial capacity at a pivotal moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Under the agreement, MP Materials will supply the tech giant with magnets produced at its Fort Worth, Texas, facility using recycled rare earth feedstock processed at MP\u2019s Mountain Pass site in California. The feedstock will be sourced from post-industrial and end-of-life magnets, marking a major milestone in both companies\u2019 long-standing efforts to create sustainable, domestic supply chains. Furthermore, the rare earth producer said it will significantly expand the capacity of its Fort Worth facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magnet shipments are set to begin in 2027 and will ramp up to support hundreds of millions of Apple devices. MP Materials and Apple will also collaborate to accelerate technological advancements in magnet production and end-of-life recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
