One of the nation\u2019s oldest mining expositions, the Elko Mining Expo, is returning to the Elko Convention and Conference Center grounds from June 2-6, the heart of the Silver State\u2019s mining country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, which steadily attracts more than 350 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, offers first-hand looks at mining equipment, technologies and services as well as opportunities to \u201ctalk tech\u201d and network with attendees from across the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, June 5 has been designated as Industry Professional Day and June 6 will be Community Outreach Day. Hours for exhibit days will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show\u2019s annual golf tournament has been set for June 2; the two-day competition will kick off at 7:30 a.m. each day with a shotgun start at Ruby View Golf Course. An opening reception for the Elko Mining Expo, sponsored in 2025 by Liebherr, will open its doors to guests from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two days of sessions have been set, but at press time details were not finalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevada\u2019s mining roots run deep; it can trace its history to the late 1860s, when miners flocked to Elko and the surrounding areas in search of gold and silver. Over time, the mining industry in Nevada grew into a major economic force, and now companies like Nevada Gold Mines and Kinross heavily mine in the region while the former maintains a headquarters there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe annual Elko Mining Expo serves as a living testament to the perennial allure of gold, silver and other minerals found in and around Elko,\u201d the authority added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
