MSHA has released more information on the metal/nonmetal and coal mine rescue competitions for 2021.
While some have already been held, the next event, the Colorado Mine Rescue Contest, will convene at Craig Middle School in Craig, Colo., from June 14-17.
The Virginia Mining Institute will hold its competition at the Blacksburg Park and Recreation Community Center in, Blacksburg, Va., from Aug. 3-5.
From Aug. 16-19, the Rocky Mountain Mine Rescue Association’s event will be held at the Carbon County Event Center in Price, Utah.
The following month will see the Missouri Regional Mine Rescue Contest, which is set to take place Sept. 27-30 in Rolla, Mo.
Finally, from Oct. 19-20, the West Virginia Mine Rescue Alliance Mine Rescue Skills Contest will take place at the National Mine Academy in Beaver, W.Va.
That contest will be limited to the first 15 teams that register.
