In additional Metso Outotec news, the company launched in mid-April what it is calling a comprehensive range of smart and sustainable mining filtration solutions as part of a reintroduction of the Larox brand name.
The line, which is designed for mining use and specifically for demanding concentrates and tailings dewatering applications, includes 15 different filter types that range from pressure filters featuring up to 100-bar pressure to vacuum filters and polishing filters.
“The well-known Larox brand, of which Metso Outotec is the sole owner, will be reintroduced as a strategic product family name for selected filters and related services,” the company said April 14.
“Our unique filtration solutions portfolio is based on a thorough assessment of current and future customer needs and a detailed review of related technologies. As a result, we can now offer an industry-leading option for all types of mining dewatering needs,” added Jussi Venäläinen, vice president of filters.
Venäläinen said the entire range has been created to optimize miners’ total cost of ownership. It also will be able to help increase performance, capacity and residual moisture.
The line will also be in compliance with safety outlines, be easy to operate and maintain, and feature highly automated features that can support advanced process optimisation and remote support for users.
